Speaking on the east side of the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses began to explain these instructions, saying:
While the Israelites were in the land of Moab east of the Jordan River, Moses carefully explained the Lord’s instructions as follows.The Command to Leave Sinai
Now the Israelites were east of the Jordan River in the land of Moab, and there Moses began to explain what God had commanded. He said:
