After the death of Moses, the servant of the Lord, the Lord spoke to Joshua, the son of Nun, who had been Moses' assistant. He told him,

Moses was the Lord’s servant, and Joshua son of Nun was Moses’ helper. After Moses died, the Lord spoke to Joshua and said,

The Lord's servant, Moses, had died. Then the Lord spoke to Joshua, son of Nun, who had helped Moses in his work.
